We woke up early in the morning to start our longest drive yet. We had to drive from Tours all the way to Nimes. We wanted to make a stop on our way down to see the world's tallest bridge, The Millau viaduct. We had seen something about this once on tv and since we were driving through France we figured we should go see it in person. We stopped and had lunch at a place where we could hike up and have a great view of the bridge. I can't remember what our lunch was called, but they were pretty good. It was a cone shaped thing, and it was filled with all different kinds of things, Matt's had pastrami and lettuce I think, mine had beef and potatoes and cheese and onions. They were really good, look pretty disgusting, but tasted great. They had one filled with lamb and mint, and one had pears and cheese in it. Maybe next time I will have to try a different one.

After we saw the Millau viaduct, we went to a place called La Couvertoirade. It was a walled city/retreat for the Knights Templar. It was in the middle of nowhere, but worth the drive if any of you are ever in the area. It was really interesting to see. It is very well preserved and almost all of the buildings have been turned into either cafes or shops. They offer horseback rides around the area too, but we didn't have enough time for that.
