First Day of School

The girls went back to school August 5, I am just now getting a chance to put pictures on the blog.  It has been crazy busy around here.  Matt has work and his calling in the YM presidency, I started working teaching dance, and am still in YW, the three older girls are in school, Amelia just started piano lessons and the other three girls are still doing dance.  We are never home!

So far school is going great, Audry is working really hard on learning to read, and Shelby and Amelia are trying to keep up with all the homework.  It is crazy, Shelby is in 4th grade and she had 3 hours of homework today, good thing we didn't have dance tonight or she never would have finished.  I never had homework like that even in High School!

Grand Haven, Michigan

We came up to visit my sister and her family for a long weekend.  Matt had to stay home because of work so I got all the girls on the airplane and flew to Detroit, then rented a car and drove three hours to Grand Haven.  There was construction and traffic the whole way!  This is the first time I have actually ever gotten a rental car, Matt always does it, not really a big deal I know, but still a first for me. 

We have been having so much fun.  My sister has two daughters so it has been crazy having a house totally full of girls.  George (my sister's husband) deserves some kind of award I think.  We are here during Coast Guard festival.  It is a lot of fun and we are sad that we are going to miss the end of it.  We have been to a parade, been to Lake Michigan, played at several parks, and had a great time!  Thanks guys for inviting us to stay, we hope we didn't traumatize you too bad, or make too much mess!
