Happy 2010

We stayed home tonight and partied with our girls like it was 2009!  We played a lot of Wii, Charades, and Pictionary.  It was fun to spend time with the girls, they were all crazy hyper because they got to stay up so late.  Sophia asked to go to bed around 7, and Matt and Audry fell asleep around 11:30, but Shelby, Amelia, and I stayed up the whole time.  I think the girls were kind of dissapointed by how uneventful watching the peach drop on tv was.  Oh well!

I hope everyone has a great new year!

Christmas

Here are the Christmas dresses we got for the girls this year. Thanks mom for getting some of them for us!! They wore them to church and by the end of it Sophia had all kinds of stuff spilled on hers :(

My mom came to visit for Christmas, she made the girls cabinents for their American Girl Dolls and they were way too big to ship so she made the super long drive and brought them out for us!  They turned out really nice!  Thanks mom!

We had a great Christmas, I think everyone got what they wanted.  I got a new iphone and a lot of dance stuff.  Now I just need to come up with enough energy to actually go take classes!  Matt got a shotgun, I know, I know we have lived down here in the South way too long!!!  The girls got a lot of different v ideo games, and Sophia got a really super cool pink Motorcycle with a sidecar for her dolls!

Nativity

I had sharing time at church on Sunday. I was planning to have the kids act out the Nativity but I wanted to try it out first just to make sure it would all work out. So I used my guinea pigs ( I mean my family) to test it . Shelby was gone with a friend but the rest of us did it, each person had to be several of the parts because there weren't enough of us, but it was still a lot of fun. Isn't Sophia the cutest Shepherd you have ever seen?

Happy Birthday Amelia

Wow Amelia is 7 years old!!! She had her birthday on the 16th. We decided to go see the Princess and the Frog for her birthday. Her and I got to go to the theater on a school night and have popcorn and other treats. Amelia thought it was all very fun. And as you can imagine she spent the whole night giggling because she was so excited to be out doing something that her sisters didn't get to. If you know Amelia you know she is constantly giggling!

She is growning up so fast. She was the only first grader at school to be in Quest (our gifted program) She thinks that this is totally funny of course. She is doing really well even though we were kind of concerned because she has to be in class with second graders. I wondered if she would be able to keep up but she is doing a great job!!! As you can see from the pictures, she is also missing almost all of her front teeth. I think at this point she is missing more teeth than Shelby!

The Christmas Spirit

This year Shelby had the opportunity to visit several area nursing homes and perform with her competition dance team.  They did a tap dance for them.  I think it was a great opportunity for the girls to do service and realize that Christmas isn't just about what presents you are going to get under the tree.    The girls did a great job!

IceSkating

A couple weeks ago we went ice skating.  My dad was here visiting and he went with us.  It was a lot of fun.  It took the girls a while to get comfortable on the ice, but once they did they really enjoyed it.  I know it is amazing that we have an outdoor ice skating rink here in GA.  The first time we went it was in the high 60's, it was crazy to skate around in an inch or two of water, but still really fun.  This time it was colder!  So I am not realy sure what is going on with my face in the bottom picture but it was the only one of all of us : D

Rockettes

We had the opportunity last weekend to go see the Rockettes!  We went with the management team from Matt's job.  We got to have a great lunch beforehand.  There was so much food.  It was a lot of fun.  I really enjoyed the show.  I wish I was a Rockette : D

Covington Christmas Parade

The girls were in the parade this year for dance.  We have thought about going to the parade in the past but always come up with some excuse why we don't do it.  We were so glad we went.  It was freezing cold but it was so much fun.  We loved all the small town charm.  We stood on the old town square and got to watch all the floats go by.  Sophia ate about 15 mini candycanes and loved every minute of it!  We will definitely do it again in the future.  Sorry about the awful quality of the pics but I only had my phone with me and it obviously doesn't do a very good job!

Happy Birthday Sophia

My baby is 2 today.  She is such a cutie, I am sad she is growing up so fast, but it is exciting and fun too!  We celebrated her birthday on Sunday because she had some of her cousins in town to celebrate with her.  It was a lot of fun.  Thanks Lapicolas for stopping by, we loved visiting you guys.

Happy Birthday Sophia we love you!
