Washington D.C.

Shelby and I went to Washington D.C. on Saturday. We did some sight seeing and went to the Smithsonian. We didn't make it to see the White House because halfway there Shelby's legs got too tired to walk any further. We were headed over there, we had just passed the Washington Monument and she said, "Do we have to go to the White House?" I said, "Well it is kind of wierd to come all the way here and not see it." she said, "But do you have to? Like is it a rule?" What a funny kid! I told her we didn't have to so she decided to turn around and just go back to the Metro stop to head back to the airport. We had a great time. Shelby really loved the Museum of Natural History. We saw the Hope Diamond, a giant squid, and a bunch of dinosaur fossils.
Next time I think we should spend more time, with kids it is hard to go as fast as we could when it was just Matt and I. There were still things we wanted to see but ran out of time and energy.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Late Father's Day to my Dad, Matt's Dad, and Matt!

Georgia Aquarium

We finally went to the aquarium. It is the largest one in the world and we have wanted to go for a while but it is really busy all the time so we have never gone untill now. We went on Saturday with some friends of ours. We had a great time, I wish we could have spent more time looking at all the fish, but with all those kids you have to keep moving or you will lose their attention. They are getting a dolphin exhibit next year so we will have to go back. My favorite animal there was the beluga whales. Matt said they looked like aliens. I thought they were really peaceful and I was amazed at how flexible they were.

Thanks JoAnn

My Mother in law has been here for the past couple days helping out. I haven't really been up for much, and Matt was getting completely worn out so she offered to come help us. It has been really nice of her, I appreciate all the help with the kids and around the house. She took the three older girls to see UP, they all loved it. She also played outside with them everyday. Sophia loves to be outside, she can't get enough of it. She brings Grandma her shoes first thing in the morning and wants to go right outside. Here are some pics of the girls outside playing in the sprinkler.
