Toyota Tacoma vs. BMW 528i

My Z4 was in the shop getting it's top fixed, the motor had died and it would no longer open or close. While it was in the shop they did a lot of scheduled maintenance too. Since it was going to be in the shop for a couple days they gave me a loaner car. It was a 2010 528i sedan. It didn't look like much from the outside, but it was really really high tech and fancy inside. I didn't even know how to start it the first time. Today on my way to return it and pick up my car, I was stopped at a red light. I was looking in my rear view mirror and noticed the lady in the passenger seat of the truck behind me dropped her sunglasses and bent down to get them. I thought, wow good thing she isn't the one driving, and then the truck ran into the back of me. Apparently the husband who was driving was helping his wife get her sunglasses. It wasn't a very bad accident, but it did make the sun roof on the car pop open, as well as the center console, and the glove box. Pretty wierd actually. The guy told me that when he realized he wasn't going to stop in time he thought "oh crap, it's a BMW!" Ha Ha I think that is pretty funny. Anyway luckily everyone was ok and there was very little damage. I have my car back now and BMW was pretty nice about the fact that I got rear ended in one of their loaner cars. My back and neck are pretty sore, but other than that I am fine. I guess if I am going to be in an accident that is the way to do it, it wasn't my fault, I didn't really get hurt, and it wasn't my car :D

Well geesh - no accident is good. But knowing that you don't have to pay for a smidgen of the damage sure takes the pressure out of the situation. Hope you don't have to deal with stiff bod!!
