Dance America

A couple weekends ago, Shelby's dance team competed in the Dance America competition.  It was here in ATL.  They had two dances on Saturday, one Jazz, and one Tap.  They placed first in both dances for their categories.  It was so much fun to watch, and Shelby was so excited when she got to be the one to go up and receive the trophy for her team.  On Sunday Shelby and I went to a dance convention.  Shelby took classes from professional choreographers from 8:00 am- 3:00 pm with an hour break for lunch.  She was exhausted.  One of the teachers used  to be the director for the Radio City Rockettes.  He was awesome!!

I got to take classes too.  The classes I took were more geared towards teachers, and they gave us a lot of tips on how to better teach children to dance.  It was a great day, but we were worn out by the end of it!
