Spelling Bee

Shelby was selected to be in the spelling bee at school.  They picked the top 18 spellers in the school to participate.  Shelby did well, she spelled "room" and "citizen" correctly but then got out on the word "feud". It went pretty fast, almost everyone got out on the first round, there was a runoff between two boys for second place, and that took longer than the rest of the spelling bee all put together.  We are super proud of Shelby!!!

We also got to see Shelby on the morning news at school this morning.  Since the beginning of the year Shelby and her friend Katherine have anchored the morning news.  They did a great job!  It was really neat to get to be able to see her doing that, today was her last day for this year being the anchor, but it has been a really good experience for her.
