We could not check into our hotel until the afternoon, so we took a train to the termini station and then a bus to Vatican City. We got to see St. Peter's Basilica and the Sistine Chapel. St. Peter's Basilica is amazing. It is one of the most beautiful churches I have ever seen. The Sistine chapel was a bit underwhelming, most likely because you have to work your way through the entire Vatican museum in order to see it and it is very crowded. Think rock concert mosh pit kind of crowded. There are a lot of amazing art works along the way but you can hardly tell because there are so many people shoving into you. We made sure to keep a tight hold on the girls. Poor Matt carried Amelia for at least an hour, she was sound asleep! We weren't allowed to take any pictures of the Sistine Chapel, but I got a couple other neat pictures from the Vatican.
