Today was a crazy, horrible day! The older two girls start school tomorrow (I know...crazy that they start so early). So the girls were so excited to go to school and meet their teachers that they couldn't sit still or focus on anything all morning. When it was finally got to the school the whole entire parking lot was full so we had to park on the road and then go off roading through the grass with the double stroller (after a thunder storm so of course the grass was all muddy)to get to the school. We got inside and it was so crazy busy, but eventually we found Shelby's classroom. Her teacher is really nice and she is very excited to start school tomorrow. We then went to meet Amelia's teacher, she is excited because some friends from last year are in her class this year too. So after we met the teachers we had to go wait in line in the cramped computer lab (still pushing the monster double stroller) to find out which bus # the girls will ride. The lady working in there felt so bad for me trying to push through the crowds of people that she let me sneak out through the back through the library. We made it out of there with my sanity barely in tact and headed over to the lunch room to get a car rider pass. Sophie decided at this point she had had enough and started screaming at the top of her lungs, the kind of screaming where her entire face is turning purple and people are starting to stare at me and wonder why on Earth I had so many kids since I obviously can't handle them. I decided to take her out of the stroller and hold her so she would calm down...at this point the gym teacher came over to talk to me and so I wasn't paying as close of attention as I probably should have been to my children. Sophie reached over my shoulder and pulled the fire alarm behind me on the wall. She had her tiny little hand wrapped around the handle and would not let go and the fire alarm was blaring. Shelby, Amelia, Audry, and every other human being in the school all put there hands over their ears and began to look around for the nearest exit and or flames....Needless to say I felt like a complete moron. The gym teacher went running to the office to let them know it was a false alarm and they had to call the fires station and let them know that everything was fine, no fires at the Elementary school today. Needless to say Sophie is grounded for at least a week!
